Sophia's First Hair Cut

BEFORE

Sophia got her first haircut! I wasn’t planning on her getting one until she had more of it, but I was afraid that if I didn’t take her then she would have cut it herself. This haircut idea came to be because of an episode on Sesame Street. In this episode Baby Bear’s hair was getting to long and he was afraid to get it cut. So Tulley took him to the hairdresser to get it cut. After she watched that episode 4 or 5 times she started telling anyone who would listen that her hair was too long and she needed to get it cut. I decided after almost 2 weeks of her walking around telling me she couldn’t see through her hair that I would take her for her first haircut.
Like everything first in her life I had to make it memorable. She wanted my mom to come with us so off we, my mom, Sophia and me to my hairdresser. Because of her curls I wanted to make sure that I took her to someone that I trusted and knew how to cut curly hair. Sophia did awesome!

She was a little scared at first and requested a hand to hold but once the hair cut began she was fine.

I was happy to finally get a lock of hair to put into her baby book. I am glad that I got it cut because the laying that was done made her hair even curlier.AFTER
