Ferrara Family Vacation~ Swimming Time!

Once we were settled into the hotel we spent some family time by the pool....Sophia and Daddy in the pool and me outside the pool.

What I have been working on all summer Mike was able to do in 20 minuets of being in the pool with Sophia.

Mike was able to get her to swim alone in a pool with a bubble on! I was so happy to see it and even more happy that Mike was the one who got to make this memory with her.

At first she wanted him to hold her hands and not let go.

Then at one point he let her go and she didn't know it. Once she realized she was doing it on her own she didn't want him to hold her anymore. She was having fun just swimming to us.

From that point on she wanted to be in the pool whenever we got back at the hotel. To jump ahead....she even willingly got her face wet in the lazy river.

By the end of the trip she was letting Mike throw her into the water and going underwater and coming up saying, "it's OK...mom...I can just wipe it away!"
