Polar Express

Polar Express has been my favorite Christmas book since it was written and later the movie took on an important meaning to Mike and me. So when we heard the Polar Express was coming to the Woburn train station we couldn't help but take Sophia so that we could make another Polar Express memory. We really had no idea what the whole experience was going to be but were pleasantly surprised.

The adventure began at the Woburn train station. Kids from all over lined up in their pajamas to board the train. Sophia loved visiting with Frosty and Rudolph while we waited to board the train. There were Christmas carolers singing familiar Christmas songs that Sophia enjoyed singing along to. Then it was time to board.

Once we were on the train and settled in it was a short time before we left the station. Just being on the train was a huge because it was Sophia's first train ride. She loved looking out the window at all the Christmas lights as well as watching the show that was performing in the aisle. The actors and actresses acted out the train scene of the movie.

Sophia was able to grab a picture with the Polar Express conductor.

There was an announcement that Santa was going to come aboard to collect Christmas lists. Sophia worked very hard to compile her list before he came by to see her.

Finally just before pulling back into the station Santa come by for a picture.

Santa gave all the children on the train a Christmas bell. That bell will hang on our Christmas tree as reminder of the great time we had on our first "Polar Express."
