Big Sister Class

In preparation for the arrival of her little brother Sophia took a "Big Sister" siblings class. It was held at Emerson hospital on a Saturday morning. It was a great class that taught Sophia the "need-to-know" information for being a big sister. She learned how to put a diaper on a baby, how to hold him and how to feed him.

Her favorite part, besides the doll, was our visit to the nursery. She loved seeing all the new babies and seeing where she was for the first few days of her life.

Visiting the birthing center brought up a lot of questions about the plan for when Joey is born and about her birth. This experience made for an interesting conversation on the ride home.

Outside Emerson Hospital. The proud big sister holds up her "diploma" for finishing what she likes to call "Big Sister School."
