Happy 1st Birthday My Sweet Sophia

On May 9 Sophia turned one. Can you believe it?! On Saturday, she had her birthday party with most of her friends (Jake was with his Grammy so he couldn’t come.) We celebrated at Sophia’s favorite place GYMBOREE. All the kids had a blast.

She gave out crab sand pails for her favors.

Because Sophia could not eat cake we sent her cupcakes home with the kids to enjoy.

For the first half of the party the kids were able to play freely. They had a blast crawling through obstacle courses, playing with balls, and climbing through tunnels.

Even the youngest of guests had a great time!

And of course there were smiles all over Gymboree!

After free play the kids got to shake, shake, shake their sillies out!

Then it was, "Happy Birthday Time!" Sophia stood in the center of the parachute and everyone sang happy birthday to her.

To end a great day in the playroom, the kids got to play with the parachute. This was the highlight of the whole day for Sophia and all the kids young and old.
